Paris Jackson tells Oprah Winfrey that Michael "was the best cook ever." As an album of Michael Jackson's previously-unheard music nears its release, his family is ready for a release of its own.

In a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey airing on "Oprah" today, Jackson's children, Prince, Paris, and Blanket, opened up about their pop icon father for the first time since his death.

Surrounded by their cousins at the Jackson family's California compound, Havenhurst, Prince, 13, and Paris, 12, talked about growing up with Michael.

"I kind of felt like no one understood what a good father he was. He was the best cook ever," Paris told Winfrey. "He was just a normal dad."

"He made the best French toast in the world," she added. "He just made the best breakfasts in the world."

Prince and Paris described Michael as "strict" but said he often treated them to sweets like Snickers candy bars and Coca-Cola.

"He tried to raise us without us knowing who he was, but that didn't really go so well," Paris said, smiling.

The two shared their favorite memories of Michael.

"We were in Bahrain, and we used to wake up early and walk on the beach," Prince said.

"One time we were on the roof of the Luxor in Las Vegas, just saw all the city lights," Paris said. "We were eating Snickers, we had some soda."

"Sometimes he would take me to a museum, because we both loved art," Paris added. "We'd play tag outside. He got us Kenya [their dog] four years ago."

Blanket, 8, barely spoke during the interview, answering "yes" when Winfrey asked if he was still home-schooled. Blanket added that while Prince "could get away with anything," when it came to being disciplined by Michael, he could not.

They also talked about their hobbies and ambitions.

"I'd like to be an actress when I'm older," Paris told Winfrey. "I sometimes do improv. I used to do it with my dad."

Prince said his favorite pastimes were "video games and sports." He said he wants to "produce movies and direct" when he grows up.

Winfrey wrapped up her interview with a poignant question -- "What do you miss the most?"

"Everything," Paris replied.

I can HONESTLY say that it wasn't until like some hours ago it really hit me that Halloween is this weekend. O__o

I've been so busy with school and homeworks that I haven't really thought about it + here where I live we don't do anything special for Halloween either lol ;)

So this is a really really really late message about a Halloween header.

I really don't except anyone to make any Halloween headers since it's so close to Halloween and people are pretty busy these days.

Winfrey To 'Interview Jackson Kids' MICHAEL JACKSON's three children are set to break their silence in a candidchat with talk show queen OPRAH WINFREY, according to a new report.

Winfrey visited the late singer's mother Katherine on Saturday(09Oct10) at her Encino, California home, where she interviewed the family matriarch, her husband Joe and took a tour of the property.

But new reports suggest Winfrey also sat down with other members of the family - Jackson's three children, Prince Michael, 13,Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Blanket.

The siblings, who have never been interviewed, are believed to have opened up about their famous dad for Winfrey, who is wrapping up the final season of her hit daytime show.

The episode is due to air in the coming weeks, according to the New York Daily News.

The Thriller star, who died last year (09), went to great lengths to keep his kids shielded from the spotlight, schooling them at home and covering their faces with masks and cloths in public.

Paris Jackson enjoyed a lovely ride home with the windows down and wind in her hair after a normal day at her new school in Los Angeles today(September 15).

The 12-year-old daughter of music legend Michael Jackson took the front set alongside her driver while her big brother Prince sat in the back.

The children are attending the exclusive and private Buckley School, where MJ himself attended along with other members of the Jackson clan. Their two bodyguards wait outside their classrooms and follow them around the campus.

Family attorney Brian Oxman said Prince and Paris have adapted so well that he predicted the bodyguards would be gone in a matter of weeks.

The school boasts an elite student population about 770 from kindergarten through high school. Famous graduates include Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Natalie Cole and Matthew Perry. The tuition for the Jackson kids is nearly $30 000.

The idea to put the kids in school with other children was Prince’s suggestion and was approved by family matriarch Katherine Jackson, the children’s legal guardian. The youngest Jackson sibling, 8-year-old Blanket, will continue to be home schooled for now.

Two of Michael Jackson's kids have taken a big step -- leaving homeschool for one of the most exclusive private schools in the country.

TMZ has learned 13-year-old Prince and 12-year-old Paris started at The Buckley School in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday.

Family sources tell TMZ ... Prince wanted to go to Buckley to have "a social experience." Initially, Paris was reluctant but changed her mind in a big way.

As for 8-year-old Blanket -- he's still going to be homeschooled. Katherine Jackson feels he's too young to venture out.

Among the alums -- Matthew Perry, Alyssa Milano, Nicole Richie, Nicollette Sheridan and Laura Dern.

I just noticed that the clock was around 01.35:AM in my time zone and it hit me that today it's been exactly one year since I started this site.

This year has really gone by fast. Almost too fast don't you think? "/

I know for the last months this site hasn't really been updated the same way as it was in the beginning with interviews in the news section for example.

Well I will start working on keeping that updated on Daily bases starting in 1-2 weeks.

I will remove members from the site that hasn't been active in ages because there is no need for them to be there takin up unnecessary space ;).

I would go on but I need some sleep for tomorrow's belated & early birthday party for my brother and grandmother lol :P

Family Attorney: Jackson children just normal kids

LOS ANGELES — They are show business royalty, heirs of the King of Pop. Someday, they will be very rich. But a year after their father Michael Jackson's death, Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson are normal kids full of fun and pranks, devoted to each other and to their grandmother who is their guardian, according to a lawyer who sees them frequently.

They talk about their father and his presence is everywhere in the ranch-style house in the San Fernando Valley where they live. Pictures and memorabilia adorn the walls. The gated compound has additional residences where other members of the family have lived over the years.

"The children are seemingly as normal as normal can be under pretty extraordinary circumstances," says Adam Streisand, the lawyer who represents Katherine Jackson and a frequent visitor to the compound where she lives with the children. He provided an account of life inside their guarded world in an interview with The Associated Press.

The large Jackson family, including eight of Michael's siblings and their families, has been a source of emotional support for the children, who frequently play with their cousins, Streisand says. And over the past year, Michael Jackson's parents, children and siblings have moved on with their lives in a world with his music but without him.

The three youngsters have seen Michael Jackson's final concert movie, "This Is It," but their grandmother, still devastated by the death of her son last June 25, has not watched it.

In an interview with London's Daily Mail, published Sunday, Katherine Jackson said she misses her son every day but sees his spirit in his three children, whom she is raising "a little less strict" than her son would have.

Prince, whose birth name is Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., is the eldest of Michael's children. At 13, he has developed an interest in filmmaking, and his brother, sister and cousins have been starring in their own home movies.

"They have props and sets, and one of them acts as director. They all have roles," says Streisand. Recently, a snippet of film was leaked to YouTube showing Paris and Blanket in what might have been scenes from one of their movies. Katherine Jackson told the Daily Mail that Paris, who has a photo shrine to her father on her wall, wants to be an actress.

The one disturbance that brought social workers to the home, in March, stemmed from the kids' moviemaking, Streisand says. Jermaine's son, Jafar, 13, saw an Internet ad for a stun gun. He bought it by mail, thinking it would be a prop for their movies. When he tried shooting it into a towel, security guards came running. No one was injured.

The children love going to the movies, especially action and fantasy films, and are usually transported by security guards who are also on duty at the family compound 24 hours a day. The Jackson kids are avid students of karate and have made friends at their karate classes.

Since Michael's death, the children have continued the home schooling that had been their routine when he was alive. Streisand says a room has been set aside in a building at the estate and turned into a classroom where a tutor conducts classes. But in the fall, Prince will leave the cloistered realm to go to private school, a choice that was made by him and his grandmother.

"He is ready to branch out and have a more socialized experience," Streisand says.

Whether his 12-year-old sister, Paris Michael, will join him is undecided, although in the Daily Mail interview Katherine Jackson suggested they all would. Eight-year-old Blanket, whose given name is Prince Michael Jackson II, is described by Streisand as "totally cute and personable — a very bright little boy who looks a lot like his father."

In a brief interview this week, their uncle, Jackie Jackson, said the children were "very excited about going on vacation." They plan to visit Disney World, the Smithsonian museums in Washington, D.C., and other sites where "they can learn as well as have a good time."

Since Michael's death, Jackie said the family has continued to have gatherings: Last week, everyone came together for a party at the family home when two of his nephews graduated from high school.

On the anniversary of Michael's death, he said the family will gather for a quiet, private memorial.

As for Katherine Jackson, who recently turned 80, life has become a whirlwind. She is busy overseeing the children's activities, but is also involved in the administration of Michael's estate. Although not an executor, she is kept informed by the estate administrators, John Branca and John McClain, on projects that are undertaken.

"She is energetic and active. Her health is perfect," says Streisand. "She has very clear ideas about what she wants and does not want as to estate matters."

She is also putting out a book, "Never Can Say Goodbye: The Katherine Jackson Archives," filled with photos of her son.

"I want the world to know the real Michael," she told the Daily Mail. "I'd like him to be remembered as the loving person he was."

Streisand says Katherine Jackson has made it clear that she does not want Neverland to be sold, and for the time being, it is not on the market. But the 3,000-acre spread costs millions to maintain and a decision to sell could be reconsidered.

Streisand recently made a statement for Katherine in response to an interview given by her husband, Joe, in which he blamed her for their son's death.

Streisand called the charge "preposterous" and says Katherine was "very hurt" by the statements. Nevertheless, days later, the couple arrived together at a courtroom for a hearing in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, charged with improperly administering a mixture of sedatives, including the anesthetic propofol, in an attempt to get the chronic insomniac to sleep.

Joe lives in Las Vegas but stays at the family compound when he is in California. Other members of the Jackson clan have their own homes.

After years of living as one of the most closely protected families in the world, Michael Jackson’s three children are to attend school for the first time.

In an emotional interview to mark the first anniversary of the singer’s death, their grandmother and guardian Katherine Jackson has told The Mail on Sunday that she is determined to give Prince, Paris and Blanket a more conventional upbringing.

Until now, they have been taught at home, in keeping with Michael ’s policy of keeping them largely hidden from the outside world.

‘I’d say I’m a little less strict but I’ve tried to follow the way Michael was raising them,’ she says in her first interview since he died of asuspected heart attack on June 25 last year at his Los Angeles home.

‘But they don’t have friends. They don’t go to school. They have private lessons at home. They’ll be going to a private school in September for the first time.’

The 80-year-old great-grandmother laughs atthe idea the children could ever have a wholly normal life, but says they have a healthy routine of daily schoolwork, karate and swimming.

She says there is hardly a day without visits from members of her extended family to her home in Los Angeles. ‘Having them around has helped the children immensely. They go places together and have fun. They listen to Michael’s music.’

Katherine has come under medias crutiny again in recent weeks after reported comments by her husband, Joe Jackson, who said she was in part responsible for Michael’s death –a sentiment he has now retracted.

And last week her youngest son, Randy, was rushed to hospital with a heart attack, but he seems to be recovering.

Throughout, however, she says her priority has been caring for her grandchildren Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, eight.

Katherine was made their legal guardian in the weeks following Michael’s death, although she has no control over his estate, which is held in a trustfund.

The three children have been deeply affected, she says. Paris has created a shrine to him in her bedroom. ‘I wanted to hang pictures of flowers or ballerinas, like I would expect a girl would.

But she went into the closet and she brought out seven or eight pictures ofMichael and said, “No, I want Daddy hanging in my room. I always want to see him.”

‘So she goes to bed looking at him and wakes up looking at him. Paris has that lovely way like Michael, and I see his talent in her. Whatever she does she’s very good at it. She’s a good artist and plays the piano. She wants to be an actress.’

Katherine believes all three share something of Michael. Prince is interested in the arts, hoping to be a film producer, while Blanket has his sense of playfulness.

She says it was some time after Michael took Prince and Paris to a concert to celebrate his 30th anniversary as a solo entertainer in 2001that they began to understand how famous he was.

‘Michael told me a story. He said the two little ones were in the audience. When he got backstage they said, “So you’re a big star, huh? When I grow up I want to be just like you!” And Michael said he got the biggest chuckle out of that.’

To help her face up to Friday’sanniversary, Katherine has put together a collection of Jackson family photographs, in Never Can Say Goodbye: The Katherine Jackson Archives.

She says: ‘I love looking at photos of my children singing and dancing together, when they looked happy. Not a day goes by I don’t think about Michael.

‘It’s hard for me to talk about without getting all choked up. Years will pass by and I’ll still feel the same way. I have a nephew I am very close to who I’ve have leaned on a lot. Prayer has helped me. I don’t have any regrets. I just live for the children.’

She continues: ‘Michael was so misunderstood. I remember when he brought gifts up to the house for me: a watch, a necklace and ring. I’ll neve rforget the way he was smiling when I opened each one. He was so generous. He’d give you the shirt off his back.

‘I want the world to know the real Michael. All these allegations in the tabloids, it’s all rubbish.

‘People with children will understand how I feel when somebody says something ugly about my son, especially when it’s not true. That’s why I’m releasing the book. I’d like him to be remembered as the loving person he was.

'People can’t understand it because of the child molestation claims falsely laid on him. It’s just greedy people who wanted money.’

A year on from his death, Michael’s mother does not accept he died of natural causes.

‘He was too young for that, but something happened. I heard from people he was taking prescription drugs but I’ve never seen my son in anyway . . . even talking to him on the phone, he was always himself.

‘I never asked him about that as he was always normal. I don’t think he just died of natural causes. I don’t believe that. It was someone who was watching over him . . . and he died. If I could see him again I would ask him, “Who did this to you?”

‘One thing I hope for is the next year will be better for me and the family. I hope people continue to remember Michael and keep celebrating his legacy. I hope that things get better for me in time. His death has already brought the family closer together. I want us to be even more close.

‘I try not to regret. I try not to think like that because I don’t think Michael would have had his life any other way. Sometimes I start to tear up.

‘But I am happy about it because I know the world is missing and remembering my son. I could see the fans taking pictures, posing in front of the house. I know Michael would have been happy to see that. I just miss him every day.’

TMZ has learned Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson's three kids will not be in L.A. to commemorate the one-year anniversary of MJ's death.

Sources connected with the family tell TMZ the gang will be at Michael'sbirth place -- Gary, Indiana -- where they will observe the day.

We're told Katherine is set on Gary because she feels it is a "family point of connection" -- and it's just too crazy in L.A.

Our sources say Katherine, Prince, Paris, and Blanket will keep things private with relatives and friends in Gary.
